Hope

I have come to think about the word hope. What does hope mean? While meditating on hope today, I came to find, and many can probably agree, that we view hope in a negative light. I 'hope' I get good grades. I 'hope' things work out. We use hope as something we can only sit back and wait for. What we need to realize is, hope is a beautiful word! The meditation says that hope is a dream we are acting upon and hoping it becomes a reality. Now hope is a verb. Hope is working. If we just hope passively, we may as well just call it dreaming.

Hope when acted upon as a verb now has power. That dream is attainable, simply because you are acting on that dream, turning it to a hope, hoping, almost willing it to be a reality. Hope is beautiful! We hear that word everywhere, but are ignorant to its true, positive message! The only real way we only get anything in this world is if we take our dreams, turn them to hopes, and work those hopes into reality! It is a hard process, but hope softens the blow of hard times. Hope is how people get through disasters! Hope that a savior will come. Doing all in their power to be ready for when those rescuers come get them out.

We must not become a society that simply dreams and lets others do what they believe should be our dreams. We need to realize what we want, we need to hope, fight, act, and do! Because when we hope, we have a power that is unstoppable! Hope is beautiful.

"therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true."
